Utah Youth Football In Action

Today Utah Youth Football in Action had a football camp for their players. We had originally signed up just Marques and Jonah, but they had a division for Devon's age group. I was hesitant about signing him up. His is my free spirited child lol. He is opinionated, day dreams and sometimes doesn't pay attention. But I agreed to let him get in there and see if he'd like it.
He was so excited to be doing what the "big boys" do. Seeing him out there running drills was the cutest thing! He started out a little timid. But before you knew it he was shuffling, catching, and tackling. Half way through drills his personality showed through. He got his team talking, laughing and giving each other high fives when they get done with a drill lol. He made so many friends today. He even opted to sit with them rather than with the family during the luau.
I'm so mad at myself for not remembering my camera. Seeing his facials when his coach was telling him to do the 2 point stance and then tackle was priceless! They ran drills for 3 1/2 hours and didn't complain. They had so much fun. Their head coach was awesome with the kids. They were so organized and motivated the kids to work hard. Utah Youth Football In Action is a new organization. They are the alternative to the Ute Conference. Check them out on Facebook.
